As a senior woman, I found Dutchies Motel Nelson Bay & Dutchmans Beach Apartments to be a delightful place to stay. The decoration of the hotel was charming and had a lovely vintage touch, reminiscent of the good old days. The general areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for me to move around with ease. I particularly appreciated the accessible layout of the hotel, with no stairs to climb and everything conveniently located on the ground floor. It made my stay comfortable and convenient.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be to have handrails installed in certain areas. This would provide extra support and stability, especially for those of us who may have difficulty with balance or mobility.

Dutchies Motel Nelson Bay was the perfect beachside escape. The location was incredible, just a short 10-minute walk to the heart of Nelson Bay township with its marina, restaurants, and supermarket. The room had everything I needed, including a cozy lounge space, a dining area, and a well-equipped kitchenette. I even had a sea view from my room, which was a lovely bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The highlight of my trip was definitely the Tomaree Summit Walk in Shoal Bay. The views were breathtaking and definitely worth the hike.
Kitchen facilities were limited.

The decoration at Dutchies Motel Nelson Bay was charming and tasteful, with cozy furnishings and beautiful coastal accents that made me feel right at home. The hotel's general areas were easily accessible for senior people like myself, with well-maintained hallways and spacious common areas where I could relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere. The children working there were always attentive and helpful, ensuring that I had everything I needed during my stay. Additionally, the hotel's location near the beach provided a delightful escape for me, allowing me to enjoy leisurely walks along the coast and breathtaking views of the water.
I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant vacation experience, but if I had to suggest improvement, it would be wonderful if the children working there could offer some organized activities specifically designed for senior guests. This would add an extra touch of enjoyment for us older travelers, creating opportunities for socializing and making new friends while exploring the beautiful surroundings.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the hotel. The furniture and decorations were tasteful and reminded me of a quaint seaside cottage. The common areas were also very well maintained and accessible for senior people like myself. The hotel had ramps and elevators, making it easy for me to navigate with my mobility aids. It was wonderful to see that they have taken into consideration the needs of older guests.
I would have appreciated if the children working there had provided more assistance with carrying luggage up to the rooms. It would have been a great help, especially for senior people who may have difficulty with heavy bags.

The location was so sick, right next to the beach and we had mad views of the water from our room. The place was clean and cozy, perfect for our weekend getaway with the squad. The staff were super helpful too, hooking us up with a late check-in. Can't wait to go back!
The only thing that could've made our stay even more lit would've been a party room or a chill common area where we could hang out with other young peeps. It would be dope to have a spot to meet new friends and have a great time together.

As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy access ramps and wide hallways, making it convenient for me to move around without any trouble.
I would have loved to see more activities or senior-friendly amenities offered specifically for us during our stay. It would have been wonderful if the children working there could have provided some assistance or recommendations tailored to seniors, ensuring a more enjoyable vacation experience.

Spent a wonderful Christmas holiday at a motel that had a spectacular beach view. The rooms were beyond satisfactory, with comfortable and clean accommodations. They also provided all the amenities necessary for a quick stay, which was a bonus. The motel was located at an ideal distance from all of the local hotspots, making it easy to explore at our leisure.
Although there were no significant drawbacks to the stay, we would have appreciated a more accommodating shower and proper air conditioning in the rooms. On hot days, the air felt stuffy and needed to be circulated more often.

The room had great facilities, with a mini kitchenette that came equipped with an electric kettle and crockery. The location was also unbeatable, just a short walk away from the beach and marina. We enjoyed waking up to the stunning water views from our balcony each morning.
The bathroom could have been improved. The toilet had two buttons that needed to be held down when flushing, which was a bit inconvenient.

Pete
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Cleanliness was outstanding and the staff was super friendly. The hotel is right by the beach, with a beautiful water view, and it was close to everything I needed. The hotel facilities were good with a well-equipped kitchenette, and parking was not an issue.
No issues.
